Mobile & Remote: Meeting You Where You Are.

Somatic Bus, office on wheels is a comfort space for healing

Mission of the Somatic Bus

Meeting You Where You Are

Meeting people where they are to provide community-based support for mind-body health and well-being is essential.

After years of providing community medical services by visiting clients in their own environments, we have seen the powerful benefits of this approach. People tend to feel more at ease in familiar surroundings, value the freedom to choose where they meet, experience a greater sense of autonomy, and are more likely to seek support when care comes to them.

A charmingly converted short school bus—previously known as a “Skoolie”—is now the Somatic Bus. It serves as a dedicated, mobile office space for small groups and community-based sessions.

The Somatic Bus allows us to meet you where you are—physically and experientially—so care can feel accessible, respectful, and supportive of your lived reality.

Safety and Comfort is Our Priority!

Mobile Services:

How It Works in New Hampshire

  • A team member and the client determine what locations are safe and accessible.

We have a list of public places in central and southern NH that we can suggest. If parking is available and legal, we will go to public parks, workplaces, schools/universities, or personal driveways.

See Bus Locations below for more information.

If you are outside the primary area, don't hesitate to contact us to discuss it. We will do our best to accommodate you.

  • There is no restroom available on the mobile unit.

We advise using public or private restrooms before and after your session.

  • We have installed a dual-functioning A/C solar-powered battery for cool and warm air. Additionally, we have a propane heater to generate warmth the way you like it, and dual alarm detectors have been installed to ensure safety.

  • We prioritize safety! To guarantee the safety of everyone involved during the session, we implemented a buddy system. This means you will meet your practitioner on the bus while a second person remains close outside to ensure our well-being. Additionally, entrances and exits are designed to be easily accessible.

  • Yes, we welcome support or service dogs. Please bring a blanket or bedding for them to rest during the session.

  • To ensure safety, passengers are not allowed on the bus while moving. The Somatic Bus is designed to stay parked during sessions. So, we won't be able to pick you up or transport you to your desired location.

  • You can experience an introductory session before committing to a package plan. We offer a 25% discount on a one-time Somatic Bus Tour Session.

  • Home visits are designated for individuals with physical disabilities who are unable to navigate the few stairs to board the bus or cannot utilize technology, such as a computer, for a virtual appointment.

  • We offer a range of services, including:

    • Somatic coaching & Therapy

    • Body awareness exercises

    • Stress management techniques

    • Trauma-informed care

Feel free to reach out if you have specific questions about the services available.

  • Click on any button that says book it. As a new client, you will be prompted to create a client portal on Zanda, our practice management software, and then you can schedule a Connection Call.

Alternatively, you can schedule a Connection Call with Jenn, our office director.

All appointments thereafter can be scheduled through Jenn. She is also available to answer any questions you may have.

Bus Locations

Primary Bus Routes and Beyond

Primary bus routes include a 10-mile radius from Mast Road on the west side of Manchester, New Hampshire. This service area includes: Auburn, Bedford, Goffstown, Hooksett, Merrimack, and North Londonderry.

Sessions outside of the primary service area may be available and are subject to an additional mileage cost.

Suitable Locations for Mobile Sessions

  • Private driveways or designated parking spaces
  • Parks or outdoor spaces (with appropriate permissions)
  • Designated public parking areas

For sessions in public locations, we consider factors such as weather conditions, local events, accessibility, and overall safety. If inclement weather or an unexpected event interferes with a scheduled session, we will work with you to identify an alternative location or reschedule for a more suitable time.

The Somatic Bus must be stationed on level ground in both public and private spaces. Locations with inclines or uneven terrain are not suitable.

Location coordination: Jenn is available to provide a detailed list of suitable locations, confirm proposed sites, and assist with ensuring safety and obtaining any necessary parking permissions.
