Lay Rescuer Training
Heartsaver AED and / or First Aid
These courses are designed for individuals, workplaces, and community members who want to be prepared to respond in emergency situations.
Heartsaver AED: $50 per person
First Aid: $45 per person
Heartsaver AED + First Aid: $95 per person
Heartsaver AED and First Aid certifications are valid for two years.

About Instructor
Michael Travers, Lt.
Retired Firefighter & Paramedic · CPR / BLS Instructor
Michael Travers, Lt., is a retired Cambridge firefighter and paramedic with over 40 years of experience teaching Basic Life Support (BLS), Heartsaver AED, and First Aid to both medical professionals and lay rescuers.
He currently works at the Concord Fire Academy, where he continues to train individuals and teams in life-saving skills across clinical, community, and frontline settings.
Mike is known for making courses interesting, practical, and engaging. His teaching style blends real-world experience with clarity and humor—helping participants feel confident, capable, and prepared.
