DD’s Work Experience:

I began my healthcare journey at a medical laboratory in Massachusetts as an accessioning technician at 16. I progressed to assistant accessioning supervisor and phlebotomist, and I later worked in local hospitals in New Hampshire while studying liberal arts at the University of New Hampshire. Subsequently, I acquired my Emergency Medical Technician Certification in 1996, transitioning to roles in private ambulance companies in the greater Boston area. By 2000, I became a paramedic and Director of Staff Development in Cambridge, Massachusetts, for 16 years. Alongside, I ventured into massage therapy, establishing a private practice in Massachusetts while pursuing further education at Northeastern University in Boston.

After relocating to New Hampshire, I shifted from Emergency Medicine to phlebotomy at a local hospital, concurrently pursuing a nursing degree. I served in various capacities as a nurse, including cardiothoracic surgical care, urgent care, primary care, and underserved community settings. I also became a registered Yoga Teacher, engaging in teaching at private yoga studios and a local hospital in NH. Progressing in nursing, I obtained a master's degree in 2019. I worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Health Care for the Homeless for 5 years, leading the street medicine program and medical mobile unit. I earned the Mind, Body, and Somatic modalities certifications during this time and founded The F.E.L.T. Wisdom.
